MATT THOMSON
Lead Instructor
Matt Thomson is a Reading, MA native who has worked as a skills coach for Chris Dyment at CDH for the past 5 years. As a player himself, he previously played at Reading High where he was named a Middlesex League All-Star, 2x Most Valuable Offensive Player, Boston Globe All-Scholastic, and DTC Player of the Year after leading the Division 1 level in goals. Matt then went on to play for the Islanders Hockey Club his senior year where he again led the league in goals. From here, he went on to play in the USHL for the Youngstown Phantoms, where he led the league in PP goals, and the Cedar Rapids Roughriders as well. After juniors, Matt went on to play for Northeastern University where he won two Beanpot Championships and a Hockey East Championship.

CHRIS DYMENT
Instructor
Also a Reading, MA native, Chris Dyment played at Reading High where he won too many awards to list on here. After graduating from Reading High in 1998, Chris went on to play for Boston University. At the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Chris was selected 97th overall by the Montreal Canadiens. At BU, he was a three time Beanpot Champion (1999, 2000, 2002), 2x ACHA All-American Second Team (2000, 2002), Hockey East First Team All-Star as a sophomore and Second team as a senior, Hockey East Best Defensive Defenseman, and served as Captain of the Terriers his senior year. After college, Chris endured a seven year pro career, four of which were in the AHL. He won a Calder Cup in 2003 with the Houston Aeros, served as an Assistant Captain for the Providence Bruins (AHL) as well as the Florida Everblades (ECHL), spent a year in Italy with the Cortina Squirrels in Italy’s Serie A, and served as Captain of the Trenton Devils (ECHL).Â
Chris has also coached various local programs - including the NH Jr. Monarchs and the Islanders Hockey Club.

Billy Norcross
Instructor
.A Lynn, MA native who grew up playing in the Boston area . As a player, he attended Cushing Academy for 4 years where he earned awards for offensive player of the year, and Coaches player of the year. He also attended USA Select 16 Camp where he was selected to represent the United States in Fussen, Germany where they placed 2nd. He was originally committed to Boston College but flipped his commitment to Northeastern University his senior year of High School. He also was invited to attend Calgary Flames NHL Development Camp. Billy played juniors in the BCHL with the Penticton Vees for a year, contributing to a league championship. Billy has spent the last two years at Northeastern University where he contributed to a Beanpot Championship.

JAKE WISE
Lead Synthetic Shooting Instructor
Jake Wise was born in Florida, and grew up playing in the Boston area. As a player, he attended Central Catholic High School for 2 years before moving on and playing for the United States National Team Development Program for his U17 and U18 season. While playing for the National team he was part of the Gold Medal winning USA team in the 2016 Youth Olympics and also helped capture a Silver Medal at the U18 World Championship. Wise was drafted 69th overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks in the third round before attending Boston University for 3 years. He then transferred to Ohio State University where he played 2 years and served as Captain of the 2022-2023 team. Wise produced 84 points (25 goals, 59 assists) in 125 career NCAA games, including 39 points (12 goals, 27 assists) in 40 games his last season at OSU. After this past season Wise went on to play for the Charlotte Checkers in the AHL, and is now waiting to see where he will play next year in the Professional ranks.

Nolan Redler
Instructor
Nolan Redler is a Winchester, MA native who grew up playing in the Boston area. As a player, he previously played at Winchester High School where he was a Middlesex League All-Star, Boston Globe All-Scholastic, and 2 time Middlesex League Most Valuable Player. Nolan then went on to play juniors in Canada in the CCHL, as well as the BCHL, while also spending time locally with the Northern Cyclones. After juniors, Nolan attended Umass-Boston where he was named to the All-Rookie team, 3 All-Conference teams, 2 All-American teams, and was named the leagues Most Valuable player his Junior year. He finished his career as the all time leader in power play goals, second in game winning goals, 3rd all time in goals scored and 6th all time in points. After Umass-Boston he has spent time playing professionally in Finland and Germany.
